The Henotic Tonic—five DSA Freshman—will be performing their own arrangements of modern jazz tunes, jazz standards, jazz fusion, and even hip hop, with songs written by artists ranging from Dizzy Gillespie to Les Claypool (as well as an original tune).
The group features Eli Mercado on Trumpet, Avery Rains on Tenor and Alto Sax, Aesop Pelta Tiller on Bass, Matthew Koback on Drums, and Elias Haberberger on the Vibraphone (with a guest appearances from Hector Shutty and a mystery piano player). Busking in front of our studio space, The Henotic Tonic will be taking a deep dive into their musical training to produce a variety of genres and sounds. Not to be missed!
